AntroSymbia | An interdisciplinary research, design, and construction project dedicated to exploring, educating, and bringing to life designs that respond to our world’s evolving challenges.
The focus is on creating living environments that are resilient, adaptable, and reflective of local culture and identity. By integrating traditional knowledge and techniques with innovative bioclimatic design solutions, AntroSymbia seeks to foster a sense of belonging and harmony while addressing environmental challenges with solutions rooted in generations of understanding and adaptation. The work explores vernacular traditions, cultural history, and climate-responsive strategies to shape sustainable, practical, site-specific habitats that respect people and their environments.
This mission reflects my personal journey as an architect and builder. Experiences across diverse settings, climates, and cultures—including the Middle East, India, New Mexico, Japan, and tropical regions impacted by extreme climate events—have profoundly shaped my perspective on the potential of architecture, engineering, construction, and craft to respond meaningfully to environmental and social challenges. The values of resilience, adaptability, and respect for both people and place remain central to AntroSymbia’s work.
